WARREN CAMPBELL-GASTON Warren Campbell-Gaston has served as an Elder in the United Methodist Church since 1970. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College, a Master of Divinity from Garrett Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. He has served four churches in the East Ohio Conference, including Willoughby United Methodist associate pastor from 1972-1978. Warren sees the church as a center for the care of the soul; a community where our participation in God’s life can be deepened and broadened, through worship, study, fellowship and service to the wider community. Our fascination with Jesus Christ translates into gratitude for the great gift of our humanness and compassion for all beings that share life with us. He believes that church is a community of welcome in which the love and grace of God is palpable and the presence of Christ is believable. The diversity of the human race, which often leads to conflict, through Christ is formed into community. Warren particularly enjoys the role of preacher/teacher and offers adult learning opportunities throughout the year. He encourages conversation and invites people to share with him matters of heart and mind. Warren and his wife Katherine have been married since 1982. They have a blended family of four adult daughters and two grandchildren. LORNA WESTLAKE
Lorna Westlake is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary where she received a Master of Divinity. She majored in Pastoral Counseling, served as an intern pastor/chaplain at both the Mansfield Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic, and was ordained as a deacon at the East Ohio Annual Conference in June 2006.
This is a second career for Lorna. Previously she worked for the United States Postal Service for seventeen years, and enjoyed being the Postmaster of a small rural office. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Cleveland State University.
Lorna enjoys one-on-one ministry: visiting, sharing, listening, and caring for people. Prayer and Scripture are an important part of her ministry. She wants to spread the Good News of God’s message of love and acceptance for all of humanity through Jesus Christ. Through her ministry she seeks to build up the Body of Christ so that it can truly be the healing presence of Jesus Christ to a needy world.
Lorna and her husband Tom have been married for thirty-five years. They have one daughter, Christine, who resides in Painesville with her husband Tim, and teaches elementary music in the Mentor School System. They are blessed to be grandparents to a beautiful little girl named Kate.
